I have been awarded the Gault & Millau Japan 2026 “Promising Young Chef Award.”
I am reminded once again that I am who I am today thanks to the generosity of those around me who accepted and nurtured me.
I am especially grateful to Chef Lionel, who has always taken care to ensure I do not remain hidden in the shadow of a great chef.
I still have a long way to go, but I will keep my feet on the ground and move forward steadily, one step at a time.
I will never forget the kindness I have received and will strive to pass that kindness on to the next generation.
